Dr. Jonathan L. Streit, D.C.
Dr. Streit graduated from Kansas State University with a BS degree in Microbiology and large emphasis on Chemistry. Due to his classroom performance at Kansas State, he was selected to be a member of a research team studying microbial genetics. That research has led to the discovery of transgenic traits of E. Coli that are still in use to date. Prior to Chiropractic School, Dr. Streit worked as a Chemist for an environmental testing firm where his work was utilized by local and federal saftey organizations.
Dr. Streit began Chiropractic college after watching Chiropractic transform his wife’s health. Fully immersing himself in neurology, anatomy and complex biochemistry, he found his love for the miracle of the human body. He excelled and started using FDA cleared devices for stress reduction on patients at a nearby clinic, intrigued by benefits achieved in the human body without using force. After graduating with honors from Cleveland Chiropractic College, he quickly moved to Colorado and set up a private practice, where he worked with everyone from Olympic athletes to infants, expectant mothers and military personnel. Because of his presence in the community and skill in chiropractic, he was chosen to be the chiropractor for the LPGA tour in Colorado.
After witnessing the benefits of American Biological Medicine for his wife, who was battling Lyme Disease, Dr. Streit accepted an opportunity to train and work with Dr. Jernigan at the Hansa Center. The position is a great fit due to his wealth of knowledge and experience utilizing nutrition, neurology and essential oils, herbs and lasers for years in his private practice.
The biological medicine approach to health changed Dr. Streit’s paradigm. As a result, he has studied with the world-renowned Dr. Thomas Rau and is a Certified Biological Medicine Practitioner through the Paracelsus Clinic in Lustmuhle, Switzerland. Currently, Dr. Streit is studying with the Carrick Institute of Graduate Studies to obtain Diplomate status in Functional Neurology, as well as the American Posture Institute for a Postural Neurology Certification. He has also studied with Dr. Arthur C. Croft, a prominent scientist in the field of brain injury traumatology and its effects.
He is passionate about bringing complex topics to the masses and as a contributor to Chronic Illness Docs he is excited to share with you what he finds.

DR. DAVID R. JOWDY, D.C.
Dr. Jowdy is a Licensed Doctor of Chiropractic and a graduate of Life University in Marietta, GA. He completed his undergraduate studies at Mohawk Valley Community College in Upstate NY, where he was also a member of the Varsity Baseball team that participated in the 1995 Division III Junior College World Series.
Dr. Jowdy believes that Optimum Health is a state where Mind, Body and Spirit are in balance and when this state is achieved, disease and dysfunction can disappear. True healing is a collaboration between doctor and patient where communication and education are the key to success. He takes great pride in educating his patients not only on how to achieve better health, but to keep themselves healthy in spite of the stresses that exist in our world today.
His path to join the healing arts was paved two generations prior by his grandfather, who was an Osteopath that spent a good part of his practice engaging in physical medicine and manipulation, as well as nutritional healing with vitamins and herbs.
His practice experience has taken him from Atlanta to Northern Virginia to St Kitts, always searching for new and innovative ways to improve the health and quality of life of his patients. Early on, in his first years of practice, he recognized that physical treatments alone were not allowing all of his patients to see the health benefits they desired, so he ventured out to train with leading doctors in the Wellness Industry that include Dr. John Brimhall, Dr. David Lee, Dr. Datis Karazhian, Dr. David Jernigan and Dr. Thomas Rau. Dr. Jowdy has spent upwards of 500 hours of continuing education to train in Biological Medicine, nutrition, wellness, detoxification, functional endocrinology and sports injuries. He holds three certifications with Brimhall Wellness and has assisted in their training seminars.
He is driven by knowledge and educational topics and is looking forward to sharing that knowledge as a contributor to Chronic Illness Docs.
